Huge congratulations to the KC Band! Over the weekend, they traveled to Baytown to compete at the US Bands Contest and absolutely crushed it! In prelims, they earned 1st place in Group 5 along with caption awards for Outstanding Music, Visual, Colorguard, and Overall Effect. They kept the momentum going in Finals—taking 1st place overall and sweeping Overall Visual, Music, Colorguard, and Effect for the entire contest! Way to go, Tigers!

Klein ISD earned an A rating in the College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) component of the Texas Education Agency’s 2025 A–F Accountability Ratings and maintained a B overall, rising from an 80 in 2023 to an 86 in 2025.
Since the TEA raised performance standards in 2023, the district has seen a 30% increase in A-rated schools, a 13% increase in B-rated schools, and a 55% decrease in C-rated schools, with no schools rated D or F. All five high schools and all ten intermediate schools earned an A or B, and students across Klein ISD earned 127 academic distinctions, a 37% increase since 2023.
